Geelong Harmony Chorus are the 2024 Sweet Adelines Australia Division A (small chorus) first place medal winners!

Members of Geelong Harmony travelled to Fremantle in May to attend the Sweet Adelines Australia 2024 Convention and Competition. Frocked up in our beautiful emerald green costumes, we competed in the chorus competition along with 12 other fabulous choruses. Four lovely members of our chorus had never been to convention before and we were very fortunate to have four fabulous OOTERS (out of towners) join us on the contest stage too.

Our goal was to increase in level so it was very exciting to be awarded the most improved chorus medal and trophy. The icing on the cake was to win the first place medal in the small chorus division, Our director, Michelle, in her role as Regional Communications Coordinator, was tasked by the Regional Management Team to hand out the first place medals so it was hilarious when it turned out she gave out the medals to herself and our Team Coordinator, Carol.

Whilst Geelong Harmony has won a number of medals over the years, this is our very first first place medal. We are a very happy chorus, It is a fabulous reward for the hard work that our members put in in the months prior to competition.
